1. What is a good mattress?
We should ideally sleep on a fairly firm surface – not harder the better. it should be resilient enough to provide good support and comfort. A latex foam mattress gives excellent support as it is highly resilient and will always stay in shape. It will not go flat or harden nor will it go lumpy if maintained properly.
2. Isn’t it hot to sleep on a natural latex mattress?
Not at all. Latex foam has millions of tiny air cells which allow the mattress to breathe. There is a constant flow of fresh air to ensure cool and comfortable sleep.
3. Will a latex mattress support my back?
100% pure natural latex dynamatically conforms to you, providing superior support and pressure relief. Relieving pressure reduces the tossing and turning that interrupts sleep and brings needed oxygen and nutrients to tired aching muscles.
4.How hygienic are latex foam mattresses?
Latex foam mattresses are fully sanitized and are naturally anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. There is no dust, fluff or fibre and they are completely non-allergenic.
5. Do I need to sun the mattress / pillow?
All products made from natural latex foam do not need sunning because they are anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.
6. What about odours with natural latex?
All materials have an odour to them. Unless you are very sensitive to smell, you probably won’t notice them in latex mattresses. These odours will be naturally aired over time, as the latex mattress ‘breathes’ and ventilates itself.
7. What is the difference between natural and synthetic (SBR) latex?
100% natural latex costs more but is non-toxic. Our natural latex is made from 100% natural product unlike SBR latex which is manufactured from petrochemicals.
8. Why does my new mattress look like it is sagging?
Your new mattress probably has more comfort and extra upholstery layers than the product it has replaced. It is a normal process for body impressions to appear and adjust to your body weight. This is a normal performance characteristic of premium bedding . Body impressions up to 1 1/2″ are not considered to be structural defect. Rather, this is a good indication that your new mattress is performing to your personal and individual contours and levelling to its final position.
9. Is this the reason why I should turn and rotate my mattress?
Yes, to assure maximum performance, you should equalise these body impressions by simply turning and rotating your mattress . With regular turning, this becomes a normal wear pattern.
